There are numerous recipes for cakes.

In fact, people in the profession or even pursuing the hobby of cake making experiment with new flavors and shapes, from time-to-time. However, a decorative cake is incomplete without the frosting op top. And so amongst all the cake decorating techniques, one surely should be aware of various recipes of frosting.

Following here are two interesting recipes that shows one how to make frosting :

Chocolate frosting :

  • Ingredients :
    A slab of unsweetened chocolate, 6 to 8 tablespoons of boiling water, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
  • Method :
    Melt the chocolate and add the boiling water, vanilla extract and sugar. Make a smooth paste of this mixture. Then pour the mixture into an icing tube and decorate the cake. Or then simply spread the frosting on the cake.
Lemon frosting :

  • Ingredients :
    One Lemon peel grated, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of boiling water and 3/4 cup of powdered sugar, melted butter.
  • Method :
    Mix all the ingredients together to make a paste. The forst is ready to be used to decorate the cake.
